Blame! vs Biomega
« on: March 14, 2012, 03:45:43 pm »
Blame! has a rather more episodic and scattered narrative (not necessarily a bad thing) than Biomega, which holds together better. Can't really say I like one better than the other, they're very similar of course. Biomega is more refined but Blame! has such a raw originality to it. Your thoughts?

I didn't manage to actually finish either, but they both looked lovely. I started Biomega and enjoyed it enough so I'd like to see how they fare against each other.

I actually only got interested because of the frequent comparisons to Dan's stuf...

Blame was better in having a more stable and well paced story to it, as well as introducing new elements that didn't harass the reader.
Biomega has a lot of great ideas, but they are completely alien to one another and occur too quickly for the reader to settle into them before another massive twist makes the reader have to learn everything all over again.
Personally, I feel Blame was better.
