This Halloween I bore the garb of a spectral apparition, an errant and forlorn revenant from another time. Conjured up by some inexplicable force, I returned from the abyss to haunt a place far begone and dissolute. Once a glorious realm it was, verily an Atlantis, where many great artists and thinkers did gather to share their fancies and engage in enlightening dialogues on man's nature and place in the wider world, and occasionally to jerk it to Cardcaptor Sakura characters. But much like fabled Atlantis, such a place could not remain. By some great calamity unknown it was cruelly torn from time's fickle grasp, and descended inevitably into ruin and neglect. All that remains of it now is little more than an epitaph, a forgotten necropolis that can give little gleaning of its past glory. It is said on some nights, you can hear still the voices of its former denizens echoing ineffectually across the overgrown terraces and crumbled vistas, calling out to one another, as if unaware of their own grim fate. Didn't have to buy a costume, it was great.
Anyway, you should post pics of your costumes, since you expect us to do it right?
I like the drawing, looks just like one of those old HP Lovecraft covers from the 70s.
